Why High End Isn't Always Best
I guess you could say I'm a believer in that you get what you pay for. It's not quite the same story when it comes to my beauty buying habits though; I was highstreet girl up until the age of twenty. Though I had strayed into MAC a few times I would always buy everything in Boots (for the points naturally). It wasn't until I got seriously into beauty and blogs that my eyes were opened to the world of high-end products. There was a consensus that those were better, but it's not always the case.
Fading Scars
Because having spots isn't bad enough in the first place they always have to leave a parting gift don't they? I've been dealing with blemish scars for years. They can be pesky to cover up and fade, sometimes even worse than the blemish itself and it's been until the past few that I finally found ways to really tackle them.
The Make-Up That Makes You Feel Awesome
As I turn 25 today it's the perfect opportunity to wear all the makeup that makes me feel awesome. There is a select bunch of products in my collection that make feel on top of the world upon application so I thought I would share them with you today.
The Not Too Pink Pinks
Some people look fantastic in bright pink shades, I'm not one of those people. Give me a bold red or plum any day but fuschia pinks just aren't for me. Pinks still one of my favourite shades to wear though, just of a more muted variety and here are some of my most loved not too pink pinks.
Worth The Hype?
As much as I try and avoid hyped products when they're first released there is just something I can't quite resist about giving them a go myself. When you read so much on a product you're bound to want to try it yourself and see if it lives up to praise it's been given. I've got a few old rave products in this selection and a few new ones to share with you today.
Radiant, Not Sweaty
Radiant skin is something that I strive for all year round but in the warmer months it's far too easy to look sweaty rather than radiant. Whilst it's too all tempting to reach for the most glow inducing base you can find it's not the only answer to radiant skin. Over the years, I've figured out a few ways to still look glowing but not resembling someone whose been on the treadmill for hours.
Beauty Advice I Shouldn't Have Listened To
A few weeks ago I shared the beauty advice that I was glad I listened to . Now I'm going to turn the tables and share the advice that I wish that I hadn't listened to, not that this is bad advice it just didn't work out for me.
A Fresh Pop Of Colour
A brand that I'm becoming more and more familiar with is Clinique . Over the past year, I've slowly become more in touch with their products, in particular their make up. Their primers and cheek products are firm favourites in my collection, but I've never really delved into their lip products other than the infamous chubby sticks until now.
The Ultimate Flawless Base
Having a good base is my number one priority when it comes to applying makeup. Even though my really bad skin days seem to be behind me I still like to have that little bit of added coverage. Recently I've gone back to a few old faithful products and they've been giving me one hell of a flawless base.
