Making Them Work
I'm a typical Taurus and I'm incredibly stubborn and this comes across to my beauty loving ways. There are some products that haven't always worked that well for me upon first use and it has taken a few go's to get the hang of and how to get the best out of them. I hate to see waste and can't bear to just throw things away so I will persist with something till I can find some way to get my moneys worth.
Me and dry shampoo have a funny old relationship, I used to hate it and couldn't stand the way that it made my hair feel. Then we got along for a little while and now I'm back to sitting on the fence about it, I'm currently using the Original Batiste. For some reason this leaves an awful white cast to the hair, much worse than other variations I've tried so I've learnt that you really do have to rub this into the hair as soon as you spray it in. Before I let it sit in my hair a little while to really absorb the oils but if I do that with the original than I'm going to be rocking some serious grey roots for the rest of the day. Another hair item is the Bumble and Bumble Shine On Spray, when I first sprayed this onto my hair I was left with a greasy mess. Not quite what I was imagining so since then I've been spraying it on a brush and using it that way or spraying onto my hands. It gives a beautiful result when used in those ways but beware of going overboard.
This Rimmel Eyeshadow Quad has been in my stash for far longer than I care to admit, I've spoken about it before and didn't hold back with my dislike for it. It has been sitting in my dressing table just looking at me and I thought that maybe with some better brushes and a primer it could work. The light champagne shade is all I've worn all over my lids lately and I think I've finally cracked how to get it to last. With a base underneath it almost sticks to that and I've not noticed any fall out and it manages to last most the day so all is not lost with this palette. I'm so happy to finally get the most out of my Barry M Gelly Nail Paints, before I was always finishing my manicure with a layer of Seche Vite but the two together weren't a good combination. Now I'm using the O.P.I Rapid Dry the two together work so much better and I can get a good 3/4 days out of them, same goes for the Butter London Polish. I still think they are incredibly overpriced but at least with this top coat it lasts more than an evening on my nails.
