Current Style Staples
Every season I try and pick up a few new staples to add to my wardrobe. I'm not much of a trend follower, they just aren't for me 90% of the time and I hate wasting money on something that won't be in style for longer than three months. So when shopping I like to pick up items that will see me through and then can be used again and again.
I can't resist a little bit of tartan come autumn and as usual Primark came to the rescue and fulfilled all my scarf needs. I love the colour combination of this and it so thick and snug that it could be used as a bed throw too if I'm honest. Throughout the autumn we still get a lot of sunny days so I will still be reaching for my Ray Ban Clubmasters*, such a classic style and I'm a sucker for gold detailing.
A good flannel shirt is something that I find hard to come across, I don't like them to be too structured or fitted so the looser the better in my opinion. I'm a monochrome advocate all year round but especially when A/W hits, such a timeless trend that I will always have in my wardrobe. I've been wearing more and more necklaces recently and my favourites are my Verity piece from Oh My Clumsy Heart , as it allows me to mix and match metals. The lotus flower and bee pieces are from a brand called Lily Charmed* and I don't think I could be anymore smitten with them. Of course my Uniform Wares watch is still my go to on a daily basis, such a simple yet beautiful watch.
Going back to my love for monochrome one of go to outfits lately has been my Topshop Leigh jeans which desperately need replacing, a white COS t-shirt, Topshop faux leather jacket and my Nike Roshe Runs . A really simple outfit but I love the way it looks and of course it comfortable too, my leather jacket has to be my most worn items of clothing. Although we aren't quite into peak parka coat wearing weather yet we soon will be and I picked up this navy one from F&F, it fits me like a glove which is something I really struggle to get with coats. I love the navy shade against the gold detailing and my grey Mulberry scarf is the perfect accessory to it.
