Current Cleansers
Cleansers are the one area in my skincare routine that I can afford to be a little less strict with and also the product that I tell if I like within a couple of uses. Some people don't really care for them as you do wash them away and they are only on the skin for a couple of minutes but I find cleansing is a key part of my routine. I remove all my make up first with a micellar water as it is easy and refreshing on the skin and then I go in with for a proper cleanse. I switch between a gel and a cream at the moment as in the warmer months I like to use something lighter than a balm.
This has been the year of the gel cleanser for me, I've always heard that they can be quite stripping on the skin but luckily I've not encounter anything of that sort. I'm currently using the Claudia Louch Chamomile Face Wash*, it is no frills or fuss and I think that is why I like it so much. It removes any existing make up traces whilst gently cleansing the skin, with ingredients such as chamomile (obviously), elderflower and white willow bark it helps to relieve any inflammation in the skin too.
A hot cloth cleanser is something I always like to have around as I know it is something I can always rely on no matter what the state of my skin is. I've replaced my beloved Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with the Organic Surge Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser*. This has such a lovely formulation that works well at leaving the skin soft and clean whilst helping with radiance too. I can't say much for the anti ageing claims as I'm just too young for that but I imagine it would work quite well on more mature skin too.
Something I've been reaching for in the morning is The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser*. A really light and cooling formula that is perfect in the morning when I don't have to worry about the remnants of make up. Aloe is an ingredient that my spot prone skill loves as like the name suggests it is very calming. In the past I've overlooked The Body Shop but within the past year I've found some real gems from the range and I would definitely suggest giving their skincare range a look.
