For us, walking Josie and Edie in the woods is very normal and something that we do almost daily. Something that I don’t think I’ve ever spoken about online whether it be this blog or our Instagram account is the fear that I had of dogs growing up and how much my relationship with animals has changed over the years. If you’ve ever met me in person or know me somewhat well then you will probably know I’m a big dog lover, they’re undeniably one of my favourite things in the world…

It’s hard to believe but Josie is nearly 3 and in the past two and a half years we’ve certainly had our ups and downs with her. There were times where I felt we were too out of our depth and couldn’t give her what she needed to be a good dog and that’s when we decided to work with a one on one dog trainer…

Before getting Josie I truly believed all I’d need to do was go to a pet shop and surely I’d be able to get everything I need, right? Oh, how wrong I was and that's the reason why I want to write a post listing all the places that we shop and love. I’m so pleased to say that nearly all of these places are small businesses too…

Without sounding overly dramatic, creating a profile for Josie and Edie has changed my life and it’s helped me become a better a dog owner as it’s one of the best places to seek advice from other hound owners…

As Josie and Edie obviously aren’t humans they aren’t aware of the concept of New Years Resolutions and live blissfully unaware of the societal pressure to change your life when the new year rolls around. However, there are a few things I really want to work on with them in 2020…
