Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #20
Whilst the weather is absolutely glorious today the rest of July has been pretty abysmal weather-wise, I’ve worn my Winter coat and a jumper far more than I’d like to admit. So, this means I’ve been watching, listening, and reading to a whole lot more than I would have done if the weather was like it is this morning. I’ve found some real gems lately that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and I'm excited to share them with you today.
The first thing I have to recommend is 13th on Netflix, it’s such a powerful and eye-opening watch.
We’ve come to the end of Parks & Recreation and it’s undoubtedly one my favourite shows to watch on repeat.
A slightly strange one, but a couple of seasons of 24 Hours in A&E has been on Netflix so we’ve been watching that and it’s always a show that fascinates me.
I finally watched The Goldfinch, it was a beautiful adaption of the book.
The film adaptation of Caitlin Moran’s ‘How To Build A Girl’ has been put onto Amazon Prime and if you’re a fan of Caitlin Moran it’s a good watch. I do really wish they’d used an actress from the Midlands as Bernie Feldstein’s accent is very patchy.
Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix has been satisfying my conspiracy theory obsession.
Brittany Bathgate has started a new YouTube series on investment buys and it’s such a good round-up.
As someone who is completely obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy I fully appreciated these Grey’s Tik Tok compilations on YouTube.
I’ve been enjoying listening to Lily & Anna’s new podcast format, it’s such a good one to have on in the background.
Another podcast I’ve listened to with Lily was her episode of Happy Mum Happy Baby which was a really interesting listen.
As always, The High Low is always one I recommend.
This post from A Cup Of Jo sharing 14 Black Owned Businesses is fantastic.
Meg’s post on Lockdown Lows was such a comforting read.
This is such a useful post from Carrie about how she shoots her dreamy self portraits.
Katy is back blogging and I loved her bedroom tour.
If you only take one thing from this post let it be this incredible lemon & poppy seed muffin recipe from Anna, we’ve made them twice now and they’re incredible.
