Your Weekend Reading, Watch & Listen List #10
The last time I wrote one of these posts we were having torrential rain every single day in the UK and now when I’m writing this it’s a nice 22 degrees, you know us Brits can’t help ourselves but discuss the weather at any chance we can. And even though the constant rain certainly put a dampener on my mood something it has been amazing for is all the wildflowers. I’ve never known dog walks to be so luscious and green as they are right now. I’ll spare you any more weather chat and here is what I’ve been watching, reading and listening to in the past couple of weeks.
Season 3 of Stranger Things came out and it was utterly fantastic.
I’m on the last season of Gilmore Girls and at the point where I’m close to tears every time I see Lorelei and Luke.
I’ve been enjoying catching up with Ingrid Nilsen on YouTube, her moving vlogs in particular are a good watch when I’m putting on my makeup.
If you care about animal welfare then this documentary is incredibly important to watch, it’s harrowing and distressing but the more coverage it gets the more scrutiny the greyhound racing industry will be under. It still baffles me that such a cruel industry is celebrate and glamourised, the quicker it’s banned the better.
I’m still absolutely obsessed with The High Low.
Jamie Lenman has just released a new album and there are a couple of awesome covers on it.
For when I’ve been running I can’t get enough of both Girl Talk albums, if you’ve never listened to them than I highly recommend you do.
My go to when cleaning or working is my 80’s Spotify playlist, it never gets old.
Cara Sutherland wrote a really brilliant blog post on her relationship with running, I’ve been pushing myself to run further than my Couch to 5k app and it’s been working so well.
Incase you’re after some books to add to your reading list then this is a brilliant post on The Anna Edit.
The brilliant photographer and baker Linda of the blog Call Me Cupcake shared all the details on her camera equipment.
A really insightful post on A Pair & A Spare about how to shop online better.
