The Joy Of Taking Photographs
Something exciting happened on my birthday, I finally upgraded my DSLR! I've owned the same camera since I was 16 or 17 and it was coming to the end of its life. As it was the first DSLR I ever owned it holds such a special place in my heart and it always will but I really needed to upgrade. So between me and my family we clubbed together and purchased the Canon 700d. Photography is my craft and for the past few months I'd really started to fall out of love with it as I was struggling with my equipment. So once I unwrapped my camera I couldn't wait to start taking pictures with a camera that had the capabilities that my old one was seriously lacking. I never share images on From Roses that don't have a point to them and I think this is why I was feeling so uninspired. I need to remember to start taking pictures because I'm passionate about what I do, not just for work and content. I'm sure we all feel like this at some point, whether we're photographers, artists, graphic designers, writers or illustrators. I'd forgotten what it was like to take images just for fun so this is what this post is there aren't a reason behind these photographs apart from me just having fun with my camera.
I had the best time taking these images and it made me remember why I started taking pictures in the first place. So I've made a little pledge to myself at least once a week to just pick up my camera and take pictures of anything and everything even if it's just of Bella. I want to set myself more passion projects this year as they're incredibly important to keep that enthusiasm going.
This was also the perfect time to share the new phone case I received from Iconemesis* . My obsession with cacti grows stronger every day so when I saw this on the site it was like it had been made for me. It's so slim on my phone which I love and it contrasts perfectly with the gold trim. I've had a few cases from Iconemesis in the past and they've always lastest so well and they've got some amazing designs, I mean look at this one?
I would love to know what your passion projects are?
