3 Things For The Perfect Champagne Eye
My all time favourite eye look is a shimmery champagne shade swept all over the lid. Sounds pretty simple, right? You would think so but I've been on the quest for the perfect shade and long lasting formulation for what feels like my entire life. I think I've finally found the perfect combination of products and tools for shimmery champagne perfection.
Prime: It's taken me a while to realise the importance of an eye primer and as I'm prone to creasing I need all the help I can get. The Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Champagne recently came into my life and now I can't imagine applying shadow without it. You could wear this alone as it's a beautiful classic champagne shade, it doesn't lean too gold or too pink, it's just right! It creates a smooth even base of colour and has an almost wet look to the eye that makes any shadow you apply on top adhere so much better.
Application: Tools are important in any area of application but especially for the eyes. I've never found a brush that was quite right until now, the Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer makes application a breeze. It's been heralded as a dupe for the infamous MAC 217 brush which is a favourite amongst beauty lovers and makeup artists. It makes light work of packing on the colour whilst have the flexibility to blend everything with ease.
Shadow: I've got quite a few champagne shades in my collection that I love but nothing quite like MAC's Naked Lunch . In combination with the primer, it leaves the prettiest shimmery champagne shade on the lid. MAC shadows are a product that I can always rely on for a strong formulation, pigmented and buttery with not an ounce of fall out in sight. If you're on more of a budget then two brands that I really like from the high street are Natural Collection and Collection. I've used both for years and some shades are comparable to a lot of high-end offerings.
