An Interview with Angeline from Angerawrs
To kick off the first advertiser interview of 2015, I'm going to talking to the lovely Angeline from the beauty blog Angerawrs. So if you're interested in getting to know more about the girl behind the blog then keep reading!
Tell us a little more about yourself Angeline?
I'm a Malaysian and I come from a little island called Penang. I moved here to Cambridge last September for university. I'm basically quite petite, laugh a bit too much and I love anything about food!
What got you into blogging?
I got into blogging when I was many years younger, usually about personal things and making friends from the online world, but I didn't know about blogging about beauty was a big deal at the time until maybe I was...18? Since then I wanted to start a beauty blog but didn't have the courage to do it until last year.
Tell us more about your blog and how the name Angerawrs come about?
My blog was a personal blog until I renamed it Angerawrs (Angie-roars, funny, I know), as per the username I've been having ever since I was 16 years old. It's just a random one, since I want to make myself sound cool but obviously that's not the case, haha.
Apart from running Angerawrs what do you get up to?
I usually spend most of my time reading other blogs, catching up on YouTube, but of course I'm also busy with university as I've only started my first year last September and essays got me super busy. Other than university life, I also like going out about in Cambridge just to have a stroll around town, or just to sit down in a café to read a book.
What is your favourite thing about living in Cambridge?
What I love about living in Cambridge is how peaceful this place is, the heritage buildings of the colleges and churches around Cambridge. I love admiring them and the weather is really good too, so sometimes I'd stroll about until the quayside where they do puntings.
What keeps you inspired?
Hmm, that's a tough one. I get inspired randomly and it's hard for me to actually get inspirations. But I guess usually by walking around town where I can think alone. I think that's how I get inspired, when I'm on my own world, it could hit me hard but sometimes when I try to get inspired when I need to, it's just doesn't happen!
A few of your favourite things about blogging?
I love writing, I think that's one of the reasons on why I love to blog too. I wanted to add another module in Journalism where I could learn to write better, but it wasn't allowed, so I guess I'll try to stick to reading articles to try to improve my writing.
Some of your current favourites?
My current favourite beauty items are Tarte's Gifted mascara, Sarah Chapman's Skinesis Overnight Facial and also Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick in Love Liberty. Fashion-wise, I love wearing Topshop's Jamie Jeans with a ASOS jumper! Other than these, I think I love to collect books (other than reading them), I have a lot of them at the moment and they already fill up my shelf in less than 5 months here!

My favourite blogs at the moment are Essie Button, Amelia Liana, A Little Opulent, Nouvelle Daily, From Roses, That Grace Girl and I Covet Thee.
What is to come on Angerawrs in the future?
I'm trying to be more personal and write more about general lifestyle too, other than just beauty and fashion. I focused more on that part and I think it'll be great if I engage in writing about the general lifestyle, like advice, or personal things.
