5 Items Totally Worth The Hype
Hype is hard to ignore in the blogging world, when every single blog post you read is about the same product you easily get sucked in and then the need sets in. When I first started writing From Roses I was a complete sucker for buying items just because everybody else was talking about them. Three years on I've learnt not to be so frivolous and wait out to see if they really are worth all the hype that they've received and here are 5 products that are definitely worth the hype (in my humble opinion obviously):
Aesop Parsley Seed Masque: Cleansing masks are a tricky area for me because I like to make sure that my skin isn't harbouring any unwanted nasties in my pores but then I also don't want to be left with a face full of spots afterwards. The Aesop Parsley Seed Masque takes the crown for the best cleansing mask I've ever used by far, it leaves my skin super clean without stripping my complexion and I'm never left with a face full of spots afterwards.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation: High end foundations are my weakness and I'm not ashamed to admit that. However this year I've discovered some pretty amazing options from the high street which makes my purse very happy. A lot of people have raved about the L'oreal True Match and with good reason, it's a really great option for everyday as it offers medium coverage and looks really natural on the skin. There is also a huge shade range available which is always great to see in the isles of Boots.
Diptyque Candle: I hate myself for even writing this because they are so expensive and I always said I would never ever pick one up for that reason because you are literally burning money away. In March I did pick one up though as a big treat to myself and I can completely see why every waxes about lyrical about them (pun completely intended). They throw their scent incredibly well even when they aren't lit and they last a really long time and make awesome brush holders when you are done.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush: Every beauty blog I follow absolutely adores these blushes and I've been desperate to get my hands on them for what feels like years. So that nice boyfriend of mine trotted off into Sephora for me so I could finally fill the Tarte shaped hole in my life. The formulation of them are a complete dream, you barely need any product so they will last you a life time and they last really well on the skin. I'm already hankering after more shades so if you've got a favourite let me know.
Fresh Sugar Berry Lip Balm: Another gift from my boyfriend and if you've been reading From Roses for at least a month you will probably be aware of my obsession with lip balm. The original formulation of these lip balms receive a lot of love in the blogging and editorial world. I think this might have even topped my love for the Korres Lip Butters and we all know how much I harp on about those. As this is in stick form I never have to worry about it getting all gross with me dipping my finger in and out of it. This is super hydrating on the lips and the colour wears evenly and doesn't gather which I find can be an issue with some tinted balms. Pricy for a lip balm yes but so totally worth it!
