3 Skincare Staples For Keeping My Skin Clear

Since getting my skin under control and sticking to a more minimal routine I've noticed which items really work at keeping my skin clear. There are a few added extras that I use to help matters but in general there are three in particular that help to keep those spots at bay and leave my complexion spot free. Of course there are so many more factors that go into keeping your skin clear than just your skincare routine but here are my absolute staples for helping everything work in harmony together:

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish: Although I dabble around in the world of balm and gel cleansers they will never replace my love for a classic cream cleanser like the Liz Earle C&P or the Organic Surge Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser*. They make my skin feel nourished even in the depths on winter but also help to control any breakouts and aren't too heavy that they might bring on more any either. I think I will always have a bottle of this in my stocks as I know it just works for me whatever the condition of my skin.

A Chemical Toner: One of the biggest reasons that my skin turned around is because I introduced an exfoliating toner into the works. I've tried numerous options like the Clarins Exfoliating Toner, Mario Bedescu Glycolic Acid Toner, Pixi Glow Tonic, Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing Lotion and now I'm using the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion. These products just agree with my skin and really do help keep anything at bay and if I do breakout then they clear them up so quickly which with my scar prone skin is important. Some of these options do contain alcohol so if that is something you are sensitive too then I would be a little cautious.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +: Not heard me speak about this in a while have we? This is the product that brings it all together for me. I use it morning and night to keep my skin free of congestion and unclogged from dirt and grime. This has changed the overall condition of my skin so much, my pores are smaller and I'm a lot less break out prone then before. Now they have changed the ingredients it also helps to fade any scars too which is an area I always need help in. I've bought and used up over 10 tubes of the stuff and if that doesn't tell you how much I absolutely swear by it then I don't know what will.
