The Best from Rimmel
A brand that have really bought their A game to the high street beauty market in Rimmel. Over the past two years they have quickly become one of my favourite brands and never one that I've ever been really disappointed by. Their price range is absolutely spot on and really affordable when a lot of the items performance just as well as some high end brands and here are my favourites:
Match Perfection Foundation: Definitely one of my best finds this year base wise. It leaves a beautiful satin finish to the skin whilst still offering a medium to full level of coverage. Colour wise it's by far one of the best colour matches I've ever found on the high street so a great optioned for us fair skinned girls. A really lovely base for everyday wear, it lasts well and is really hydrating on winter skin.
Wake Me Up Concealer: I've ran out of this but it is one of the best under eye concealers I've ever used. I find a lot of illuminating options can just brighten the area but they don't work too well at hiding any of the darkness. This works so well at illuminating as well as providing coverage to hide a bad nights sleep.
Match Perfection Loose Powder: My dear sister picked this up for me for my birthday a few months a go after waxing lyrical about the foundation. Although loose powder is a total faff I absolutely love this one, it mattifies my skin without leaving my complexion flat. It prolongs the wear time of my base and seems to smooth over any perfections instead of clinging onto them for dear life like some powders can.
Kate Moss Lipsticks: I have a matte and a normal formulation and they are both great. Of course the matte one of the cult classic 107 that everyone brings out during the winter months and then I have shade 16 from the regular line which a super pretty pinky coral. They last well on the lips and even the matte option doesn't cause any cracking which goes with the territory of a matte lip.
60 Second & Salon Pro Nail Polishes: The nail polishes from the brand are something that I never really gave much thought but they are pretty fantastic. They not only have a great range of shades but they also have great staying power too and a wide brush that makes application a breeze.
Scandaleyes Eyeliner: Even though I'm not much of an eyeliner wearer when I really need to look awake I always pull out this nude liner. It's super creamy to apply so you really have to be careful otherwise it can get in your lashes but applied on the lower lash line instantly helps your eyes look brighter.
Apocalips Lip Laquer: Everyone went crazy when these were released and they are something that I still pull out from time to time. They are incredibly slippy on the lips if you apply a touch too much product so I always make sure that I pat these in just so I don't end up with them on my cheek. I have the shade Celestial which is a pretty mauvy pink and Satellite which is a pink based red.
& one not so favourite:
Exaggerate Lip Liner: I love wearing a lip liner all over the lips as I love the lasting power of them. However this liner isn't one that I've ever found all that comfortable to wear, it is pretty drying on the lips and isn't that easy too apply.
