Perfect Pairs

We all know by now just how much I love my make up brushes, I really would be a little lost without them when it comes to make up application. Over the years I've found some brushes work so well with certain types of products and techniques and here are some of my perfect pairs:

Pin Point Concealing: 17 Stay Time Concealer & Real Techniques Accent Brush: Whenever I've got a really nasty little spot I always use the pin point concealing method, I find it works so much better than just covering the entire area and this brush is perfect for it. It's just the right size for really layering on concealer and effectively hiding the spot without looking really obvious.

Powder & Cream Blush: Topshop Powder Blush & Stila CCReal Techniques Stippling Brush: Not your typical blush brush option but this works perfectly for either the cream or powder. It blends seamlessly into the skin without picking up too much product making it easy to go completely overboard with application.

Cream Foundation: Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation & Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: When a foundation is of a thicker consistency I find it easy for it become caky and the best brush I've found for applying these base options is the RT Expert Face Brush. It's dense enough to blend everything in without soaking up all the product and leaves a natural yet flawless base.

Loose Powder: Bourjois Java Rice Powder & Real Techniques Buffing Brush: We all know that loose powder is a real faff to apply and half of the time you end up covered in it when using a fluffy brush. The buffing brush is perfect for picking up product but it gives you enough control to apply it without flicking it everywhere.

Liquid Foundation: L'Oreal True Match & Zoeva Silk Finish Brush: With really liquid-y foundations it can be hard to get a good finish with them without your brush soaking up all the product. The silk finish brush has the perfect ratio between density and flexibility and makes blending in even the runniest foundations easy work.

Under Eye Concealer: Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer & Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush: This concealer is a little thick to apply under the eye and isn't that easy to blend in but paired with this brush it blends in within seconds. It's fluffy to enough to blend everything quickly but is also dense enough to build coverage.

Pressed Powder: MAC Mineralize Skin Finish & Zoeva Powder Brush: Although you would think it would be easy to find a powder brush I've actually found it quite hard as some of them are just far too big. This one from Zoeva is the perfect size and is dense to apply product without wasting any and the domed shapes fits into all area of the face with ease.
