Fading Scars
It has taken me years and years to work out a routine that actually works for me when it comes to fading scars. There have been a lot of products that have helped like certain moisturisers but nothing like the items that I'm about to talk about. I think that the scars that I get left with after I've had a breakout are much worse than the actual blemish itself. As I'm pretty fair skinned I don't think that helps as they become like a red shining beacon and I really find them quite hard to cover even with some serious heavy duty base items.
Everybody must be sick to death of hearing me talk about the Pixi Glow Tonic but when I love a product as much as an exfoliating toner I could easily mention it in every single post. The combination of glycolic acid and fruit enzymes work complete wonders on my skin, it brightens and tightens everything up. I use this AM & PM followed up by something hydrating and an SPF but it works so well to slough away past blemish scars and to clear up any active breakouts I might have too. A manual exfoliant I've been really liking is the Una Brennan Vitamin C Brightening Micro Polish Daily Wash as it smells lovely and it is gentle on the skin. This doesn't contain any really scratchy particles that could easily break down the capillaries in your face, I use this twice weekly just to make sure any dry flaky patches are gone.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +* is something that I loved anyway but they re-formulated it to have scar fading properties and it works absolute wonders. My problem area is my chin and since using an entire tube of this I can barely see the deep redness that I had from past blemishes. When I have a spot now they barely leave a mark and I know it is down to using this and the Pixi Glow Tonic, they are two complete saviours for my skin. A mask that I've really been enjoying using is the Jurlique Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator*, this makes my skin feel absolutely incredible afterwards. It is so smooth and soft whilst any redness as been deeply reduced and blemishes look a lot less angry. To follow us this I've also been using the Helenere Hedelweiss Cream Mask*, I think keeping the skin hydrated plays a big part in helping it recover and renew.
