Brow Grooming

Brows are a little bit of a moo point with me, I don't love them I don't hate them either but I do see the importance of keeping good care of them. We've all been there in our teens when we have over plucked our brows terribly and I was certainly a victim to that and it took me a long time to grow mine back out to a reasonable size. It took me a long time to even start filling them in as luckily I'm naturally dark haired so I don't need to do anything drastic but there are some little bits that need a helping hand.

My general brow maintenance is pretty much tweezing only and for that I use the Tweezerman and they are by far the best tweezers I've ever used. Even those these are the mini ones they give me enough control and even three years on are still so sharp so I can get right down the teeny tiny hairs that can be a pain to remove. Very rarely will I trim to my brows as I don't find them to grow upwards as much as they used too but from time to time they can be a few strays. I seem to suffer with sad brow syndrome so they always just slant downwards so I always use a spoolie to brush them up before I fill them in.

My preferred method to fill in and create definition is using a powder and I flick between using a brown shade from the Collection Nude Palette and MAC Mystery, using an angled brush and creating brush like strokes it keeps everything looking on the more natural side. I always set my brows as like I said sad brows over here needs as much help as she can get and the best I've ever found is the Art Deco Brow Gel* which sets them firmly into place but doesn't leave any strange white flakes. Another good one is the No7 Lash & Brow Perfecter which has a tiny wand so you don't run the risk of getting it on your forehead which is something I do at least 5 times a week. If I do go for a pencil for any little touch ups I might need I use the L'Oreal Superliner Brow Artist* which is a light creamy formulation that doesn't drag at the skin or create any harsh lines.
