Little Beehive
Day to day I am quite dull with how I style my hair it is either down or shoved on top of my head in a messy bun but I was looking for something more and I used to like pinning my hair back like this so I thought I might try a beehive. There are two girls who reign supreme in the blogging world with their beehive styles and that is Carrie and Oliva and I actually used Carrie's post on how to create one here. There is just something about an up-do that makes your outfit look that little more chic to me, in the summer it is rare that I wear my hair down so I like to have plenty of options to go to. I am thinking a pretty shift dress or a striped breton and shorts with my hair up will probably be what you will catch me sporting once we are blessed with sunshine.
This was my first go so of course it requires a little bit of work at the back but I have a lot of hair even though it is fine there is tons of it so it can be hard to tame. The only tools you need is a few bobby pins, comb, clip and something to back comb with and voila, I did mine on freshly washed hair and didn't require any product which is a complete bonus. On the days when I want to give my hair a break from heat styling I will definitely be doing this more often as I still gives of the impression I have put the work in when really it took less than 5 minutes. Having a full fringe makes me feel that extra bit like Audrey Hepburn too and I can't deny she is the only 'idol' I have in terms of beauty and anything to make look like I could be French I am on it.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the beehive?
