I haven't done a monthly favourites for a while because I didn't really feel like I was changing around my products enough to warrant a monthly favourites so I think from now on I might do a quarterly favourites instead. Lately I have been going back to a few things and then adding more into rotation and here they are.
Skincare I have been going back to the things that I know work for me after my skin had a strop at me. After a few uses of the Origins Mega-Bright cleanser I was worried it was a little drying and then other cleansers came into my life and we drifted apart. This has worked really well at clearing up the scars on my chin and if I have any breakouts it quickly calms them down so I will not be forgetting about this again. After trying out the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid toner it just didn't compare to the Clarins Gentle Exfoliating toner and this is the main culprit that really helps to clear up my skin and I think this will be something I will continue to repurchase time and time again. Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is a classic in the beauty world and it is fix anything that is dry product for me. I use it at night on my lips and if my skin has broken out I like to use it on the affected area to correct any dryness. To buff away any excess dry patches I have been using the Eve of St Agnes exfoliating polish* this is by far the best manual exfoliant I have ever used. It is formulated for sensitive skin so I find this buffs away any dead or dry skin without causing my sin any irritation. For hair I have been using the Happy Hair Days intensive repair shampoo as this is infused with Argan oil it is very nourishing on my hair. Although my hair badly damaged I do use heat tools on it and the ends are bleached so it needs a little help and this makes my mane feel silky soft without weighing it down at all. Whilst my hair is still damp I have been using the Bumble and Bumble thickening hairspray and this can be slightly drying on the hair so I don't like to use it a lot. My hair is very fine and this does add a certain of thickness and a boost of volume.
Only a couple of make up items that are new to me are the Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer. I have had this in my dressing table drawer for so long but just never used it but I have been using it under my eyeshadow and it works really well at neutralising the blue veins in my eyes. The Lord & Berry kissproof liner in Blossom* is something I wear on pretty much a daily basis it is dusky rose shade which is my ideals shade for me. I really can't get enough of the Neom Tranquility Lavender Pillow Spray* at the moment spraying this on my bedding before I get into bed and it is heavenly. Whilst perusing The Body Shop I picked up a White Musk body mist and this reminds me of being a teenager but I forgot just how much I like the smell of it. I like to just spray this if I don't want to bother with perfume and it is one of those scents that lingers of the clothes which is something personally I really like.
