Miss Pink
Myself and the colour pink haven't always been friends to put it nicely. Although this may come as a surprise to most of you as there is plenty pinky hues in my life now but I distinctly remember disliking pink in my rebellious teen years. However lately I can't get enough and there has been a strong increase of the shade in my make up and even handbag choices.
Although there is no way I will be sporting a pink dress anytime soon I added this adorable little ASOS scalloped bag in my basket when I spotted it in the sale. Now on with the beauty products shall we first up is lips and this is area I probably find hardest to pull of pink shades. So I have the classic from MAC which is the shade Creme Cup and I keep on having flings with this shade as its truly beautiful but I can never work out if it looks a little off on my complexion or not. Then we have the L'Occitane lipstick which come on the packaging alone sucks you in but I adore the shade of this its understated and gives the lips a lovely boost of hydration too. Finally is the Dior Creme De Rose lip balm and again being the sucker for packaging I am this was love at first sight. I like applying this as just a tiny wash of colour on the lips it gives the slightest hint of milky pink to the lips and of course keeps the lips hydrated and soft. Cheek wise I think pink is a colour that can go badly badly wrong and I hold my hands up and admit in the past it has been the case for me. But I finally think after 10 years of wearing blusher (Jesus Christ thats scary) I have found the perfect pinks for me as they are the Stila convertible colour in the shade 'lilium' and the Bourjois cream blusher in 03. I think I have realised more brown toned pinks are the ones that sit best with my complexion so I wont be straying away from these anytime soon.
Of course there had to be some nail polishes in here too and my favourites are the Rimmel 60 second in 'Rose Libertine' this is a lovely dusky rose colour and it has been my go to lately. Then we have the classic Essie 'Fiji' a creamy pink milkshake colour which looks stunning with a tan and is the prettiest pedicure colours I own. A nail polish remover is probably a little odd to include but this number from Paul & Joe is absolutely lovely not only the glass bottle luxurious it smells good too. And there we have it I think I have finally broken the world of pink and although those berry hues will always be number one in my heart but these are coming close. Are a girl who loves pink or do you stay away like I used too?
