Haircare Routine #2
Me and my hair have a long complicated history and after having to chop it all off which ended in tears. I made a pact with myself to really look after it and a year and half later here we are. Most days now my hair is down and pinned back in some sort of an attempt to put it into victory rolls or up in a bun which is becoming more and more regular now its getting warm. My haircare routine is probably the most compact its been a long time so here we are;
I'm a complete floozie with shampoo and conditioner I am yet to find the one that I want to remain faithful too. Although lately I have been enjoying these Trevor Sorbie volumising shampoo and conditioner they leave my hair feeling super clean without feeling stripped and give me enough bounce in my naturally very flat hair. Since using these I can now go three days without needing to wash it and thats pretty good going and the less I wash it the better. As I have blonde through the ends of my hair I do need to use a purple shampoo to keep the blonde looking fresh and kick those brassy tones out. I have repurchased this one from ProVoke so many times now because for the price it cant be beaten.
Now product wise I am a little more adventurous and there is definitely some firm favourites in here. If my hair needs a little more nourishment I really love the TRESemme rescue shots that were released not too long ago. They make my brittle blonde ends feel like silk and for £1.49 they dont leave my bank account crying either. When my hair is damp I like to use the TRESemme liquid gold through the ends to keep them nourished and to create more volume I love the Percy & Reed volumising oil through my roots and this was a freebie in a magazine but its definitely something I want to pick up in full size when this runs out. Style wise I mentioned these two products in my June favorites and thats the Lush R&B hair moisturiser and the L'Oreal styling spray I wont ramble on about these as you have already heard it all before. Finally is the Bumble and Bumble surf spray to give me those beachy waves and the Scharzkopf got2b volume hair spray and it takes a lot for me to stray away from the TRESemme freeze spray which I have used for years but this has well and truly replaced it. It holds my hair without making it crispy and really does give volume which is pretty surprising and it smells really nice which is always a bonus.
I am looking for some new items to help with volume so if you have any must have items let me know your recommendations :)
