A few of my favourite things in May
May has been an absolutely crazy month so much has happened in such a short amount of time I feel like I haven't stopped. Theres only a few bits here as some of my favourites and there will be even more in my June post as I am currently trying a lot of new things and really getting on with them so June is going to be a good month I can tell.
Make up wise I have been layering mascara and this is something I have always done as I am yet to find that one mascara that meets all my lash needs so I have been using the Benefit 'They're Real' which was a freebie with Elle magazine and the Seventeen 'Dolled up'. I find that this gives me a lot of volume whilst still holding a curl brilliantly but my only niggle is that the Benefit mascara is near enough impossible to get off at times but I would imagine something like the Clarins eye make up remover would probably do a good job of it. A new lip balm came into my mitts this months and its from Cath Kidston now I know CK do a lot of little beauty bits and I have two of their hand creams which I really like and this balm is perfect for day time as it leaves a lovely sheen to the lips as well as giving a good dose of hydration. Plus it smells like rose and who doesn't like that?
The face masks from Lush are one of my favourite items from them and my go to is the Catastrophe Cosmetic I find this really cleans out of my skin and really brightens up my complexion. My hair is naturally very fine although there is a lot of it I find it hard to keep it looking full and something that has really boosted it up is the Percy & Reed volumising oil which is targeted toward fine hair. This is only a little sample from a magazine but I think its probably something that I will purchase in full when I am done with this one. Something I have really needed this month is moisture and Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream came to rescue I literally use this for anything and I always use it at night as a intensive lip balm and it works beautifully. Its not the most amazing smell in the world but it works so well I can deal with that. Finally is a hand cream from Neals Yard which I believe is a special addition about bee's (I love bee's anyway so this was right up my street) again this is something I apply before I go to sleep to give my hands a nice boost of moisture as I find my hands get very dry sometimes and be quite painful so this works a treat.
What have you been enjoying this month?
