The best of the high street; the body
This is the second part of my best of the high street post and this bit is all about the body! I feel this is really where the budget brands really thrive. There are so many more products that deserve a mention in this post but I think I would be here all day listing them so here we have a few of my favourites.
For hair I have a few items here and first up is the Happy Hair Days colour care shampoo and this little number can be found in Sainsburys, this is a brilliant shampoo for the money £3.99 for a product that contains no parabens or SLS and those two products are what so many budget shampoo's consist of. As well as being free of those nasties it also you still get a good lather and squeaky clean hair. TRESemmè are a brand that I have loved for years and I can see myself being faithful to for many more and two favourites here are a hairspray and hair oil. The TRESemmè liquid gold hair oil is something that has been in my routine for months now and I am still nowhere near finishing it. Its a beautiful hair oil for the price and something that I favour of the hyped Moroccan Oil which I have had and I think it was way too heavy for my fine hair. Last but by no means least in the hair category is the TRESemmè freeze hold hair spray which is something I have used since the lovely age of 17 because nothing holds my hair in place like this and its cheap so what more can you want?
Face wise I have a couple of options. The Boots Botanics range is a great option for good skincare of a budget, they have recently re-formulated all their products though and sadly some of their are not too great anymore like the eye make up remover. Something I always re-purchase though is the rosewater toner which is still an absolutely brilliant product. I am also currently trying out a "superbalm" from the range which seems to working a treat on my incredibly dry nose & chin. A couple of lip products is the Lush lip scrub in 'mint julips' which is just a simple sugar lip exfoliant which is easy accesible on the high street and then we have the Figs & Rouge, Aloe & Mint balm which can not only be used on your lips but on your cuticles, elbows and knees. Basically anywhere that needs any nourishment. I find the high street to be incredible for lip balms and a couple of other favourites are the Burts Bees tinted lip balm, Balmi lip balm and the old faithful Blistex.
I buy all my body bits from Boots because I just generally do not feel the need to branch out. Of course how could I not mention Soap & Glory a new favourite of mine is the 'Scrub em & Leave em' body scrub and this works an absolute before shavings your legs. Another good scrub from them is the 'Flake Away' scrub however I wouldn't mind trying The Breakfast Scrub which is coveted over by many blogger. All my shower gels & bath bits are also budget buys, I think my favourite shower gel of all time has to be the Original Source mint one, oh it just smells so good.
Final bits are for your nails now I have ever branched out an bought an OPI polish (full price) in my entire life as I really think its crazy for a nail polish. My favourite 'budget' brands are Models Own, Topshop, Barry M and Rimmel. They all offer fantastic quality without the price tag. Nail tools are also great value for money from cheaper brands.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and found some more products that are absolute gems, again like the last one there are so many more products I could mention but these are my current favourites!
