The Top 5; Highlighters
Being an oil skinned gal I used to try and make my face look as matte as possible and any sight of shine was quickly powdered down. However around this time last year my tastes started to dramatically change and I started to delve into the world of the highlighter. A year later I have road tested a fair few so I thought I would put together a top 5.
First of lets start with my absolute favourite and a cult favourite in the beauty world which is the MAC MSF in 'Soft & Gentle' which is a gorgeous champagney rose gold esque shade. Now this is a permanent shade at MAC which is probably why it is so popular. Then a liquid highlighter from MAC is the lustre drops in 'Pink Rebel' which is a beautiful shade this is much more of a true rose gold compared to the MSF and I often mix in this in with a matte foundation to make it really glow. For the last of more the expensive products is Benefits 'High Beam' again a real cult product in the beauty world. Now I hold my hands up and say this is has got quite lost in my beauty stash and pushed to the back but I used it the other day and forgot just how much I really do like it. Some may find it a little pink for there skin but its perfect for my pale complexion.
Now the last two are much cheaper than the others which is always a plus point. First up is the latest addition to the Topshop make up line which is the highlighter in the shade 'Crescent Moon' and this is an absolutely stunning product the shade is the perfect golden pink and it isnt crammed full of shimmer like I can find some highlighters can be thus making you look slightly disco ball like. Also a huge plus for this highlighter is the fact it is only £10 and you get a huge amount of product for that money. The final product is one from the brand 'Fashionista' which is stocked in Superdrug and I picked this up months ago now and whilst I love the colour and consistency I find it to be so highly pigmented that I barely have to touch it which my brush to get a normal amount of product so this might be thats suitable for a night out as its a little more out there than the others.
So thats it for my favourite highlighters, I would love to know yours or if you have any suggestions that I might like :)
