The English Rose
When I was flicking through the Elle Collections and saw that the 'English Rose' complexion I was pleased to say the least. I like to think my complexion is very similar to what you would expect an english rose to be as I have very pale pink skin which to me is what an english rose is.
So I thought I would put together on what I would use to perfect that trend and well make the most of having my natural snow white skin in fashion for once. To start of I would use a primer such as the L'Oreal Lumi Magique to give my skin a pearly glow before applying my current foundation of choice which is the No7 Beautifully Matte foundation in the shade cool vanilla and I love this foundation just for the mere fact that it covers everything so effortlessly and it lasts nearly all day without any touch ups. As this foundation gives such high coverage it makes the skin look flawless but with the use of the primer underneath it doesn't make me look completely matte I still have a radiance about me. I then have to powder to keep my foundation on all day so I use quite a pink based powder to maintain that rosy skin. Eyebrows and lids are kept to normal day to day routine which is a quick wash of colour of the lid and lashings of mascara. Cheeks are vital for this look and for this I have chosen an old favourite which is the Natural Collection blush in Pink Cloud which a beautiful pink shade thats give the illusion of natural rosy cheeks, I then like to add a little of a highlight but not too much as that will draw away from the colour of the blush and for that I am currently using Topshops new highlighter in the shade crescent moon. My finally addition to the English Rose complexion is MAC lipstick in Creme Cup this is a beautiful pink shade and looks lovely with the blush but not too much of a pink overload.
So thats how I would achieve a more defined version of an English Rose complexion. This is a look that I adore and something that really suits my skin as I find some trends a little too daring for me.
