New Things In My Beauty Stash That I'm Excited To Share

Something I'm pretty terrible for when it comes to this whole blogging thing is that I tend to I talk about the same products a lot. Which might get boring I admit but I always think at least it shows that I'm actually really using my stuff rather than mention something for it never to be heard about again. So instead of rambling on and on about the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms or the Too Faced Shadow Insurance for the millionth time, I thought I'd share some of the new things that I'm trying out right now.

BECCA 4 PIECE ULTIMATE GLOW COMPLEXION KIT*

I will never forget the day that my boyfriend and I were in Space NK and we walked past the Becca counter and he looked at me and asked why you don't buy from this brand? Safe to say that's the only time that he's ever pointed out makeup for me to buy. QVC have a bundle deal going on at the moment which contains the First Light Priming Filter*, Ultimate Coverage Complexion Cream*, Poured Shimmering Skin Perfecter* and Beach Tint* all for £45. So far I've been using the two base products together and they're pretty heavenly. The lilac base of the First Light Priming Filter* helps to awaken dull and lack lustre skin whilst creating a smooth even canvas for any product you want to apply over the top. It also smells like Refresher sweets which makes it even lovelier to apply. Then the Ultimate Complexion Coverage Cream is a somewhat thick base, more liquid than cream though. It's a full coverage base but it doesn't like one and it melts seamlessly into the skin within seconds. I wore it on a somewhat hot day when I was out the house a lot and on a long dog walk through the forest with my dad and it didn't budge. Nor did it transfer onto my sunglasses which is a bug bear of mine when it comes to base products. It conceals absolutely everything but it doesn't make the complexion look heavy at all, it was very lightweight and natural. I've always heard such amazing things about Becca products and my first foray into them so far has been awesome and I can't wait to get to grips with the blush and the shimmering skin perfecter as they're two cult items.

CLEAN RESERVE TERRA WOODS FRAGRANCE*

I weirdly read about this in a Sali Hughe's piece for the Guardian and then it arrived through the door, talk about fate? I'd never heard of the brand but from what I've looked at from the rest of the range it looks like they have some pretty beautiful scents in their library. Terra woods is a mix of floral and musks which are my favourite things when it comes to the fragrance that I wear. I also find it means that it can be worn in the Summer and the Winter rather than just being suitable for one season only although who really pays attention to those age old beauty rules? With notes of geranium, coconut, tonka bean and Madagascar vanilla it's pretty heavenly and the lasting power is superb. It's a high-end brand so of course, it's expensive but most fragrances out there are pretty pricey. It almost rivals my Jo Malone collection for sure which leads me to the next lot of products that make me want to use the raise the roof emoji a hundred times over.

JO MALONE BATH PRODUCTS*

I've loved Jo Malone perfumes for years but something I've not explored until now is their bath products. Of course, I knew that they would always be heavenly because what isn't good from JM? After a very long week with a lot of muddy dog walks pouring a capful of the Peony & Blush Suede Bath Oil* into my bath. Not only made the entire room smell amazing but it turned the water so milky and delicate it was unlike any bath oil I've ever used. It not only made the entire bath a joy but it left my skin feeling lovely and smooth too and of course smelling heavenly. I've also been using a couple of the Exfoliating Shower Gels* which don't quite give you as good of a scrub as a dedicated exfoliator but if you find your skin gets particularly annoyed when you do then this a great option as it does still leave your limbs silky smooth.

BAREMINERALS BARE PRO FOUNDATION*

If you've been a reader of this blog for a while you will know that I'm a really, really big fan of bareMinerals base products. And this is their latest launch that is released in the UK in September. It's a full coverage base that is marketed as a natural matte in its finish which means it's going to be absolutely perfect for really oily skinned girls. Upon first use, I tried it with a brush that I found pretty difficult to work with but when paired with my beloved Zoeva Silk Finish it blended like a dream. I would suggest a really hydrating primer or moisturiser if you have more combination skin as it can sit a little on areas if they're not properly nourished. I will say you need to give this a minute or so to settle onto the skin to truly appreciate how beautiful it is. It is very full coverage and it's the good type of matte so if you want that in your base you will really like this as it's got a real soft focus finish to it. Again, I wore this on a somewhat warm busy day and it didn't budge, crease or settle onto any dry areas and was so comfortable to wear all day long. It covered up everything I wanted concealing with only one layer and didn't need to be built up anywhere which is ideal when you're in a rush and want full coverage quickly.

O KEEFFE'S WORKING HAND & FOOT CREAM*

Every summer I really struggle with my feet and hands being drier than usual. Which I put down to wearing sandals and washing my hands a little more as I hate that grubby feeling you get from being outside in the warmer months. And Soap & Glory always work well for me but I needed something a little more heavy duty enter O Keeffe's working hand & foot cream. I'm pretty sure these are meant for people who have crafty jobs like builders etc, not a beauty blogger but I can't deny that they've restored my hands and feet back to their usual supple state. It's my feet that I'm really struggling with right now they're so dry and I've lost both my big toe nails so they're pretty stressed and sore and this has been a huge comfort to them. The creams aren't anything fancy but they really do a fantastic job at restoring hydration and relieving any dryness.
