Current Beauty Favourites
As I don't partake in the beauty favourites rounds I don't always get to share the items that I'm loving at the moment. I've discovered some new awesome products lately and returned to an old classic and I'm excited to share them with you today.
OSKIA RESTORATION OIL*: I struggle to work oils into my routine permanently, I've dabbled into them here and there, but none of them has impressed me as much this oil from Oskia. It's got an eye-watering price tag so it pains me that I like it so much, but it's been working wonders on my parched winter skin. I've been struggling with breakouts lately due to my poor diet and medication so my skin has been paying the consequences. Not only has this product helped to get rid of any dryness. It's plumped my complexion up to a radiant state and it's healed any spots and scarring with ease. It's not an oil that makes your skin feel horribly slippy and you can apply makeup just a few minutes after application. If you're somebody who loves to invest a lot of money into their skincare routine then I'd highly recommend checking this out. It's a truly beautiful oil and a total treat for the skin.
BUMBLE AND BUMBLE SUNDAY SHAMPOO: B&B is one of my favourite haircare brands but I was yet to try their famous Sunday Shampoo. As I use so little product in my hair I don't find it needs to have a deep cleanse very often but once in a while things to start to feel a little less than fresh. If you've got coloured hair like I have it's not advisable to use this on a regular basis as you will say goodbye to that colour a lot quicker than you want to. Every now and again though it's totally fine. It leaves my hair feeling super clean and incredibly shiny but it doesn't feel stripped or damaged.
NAILS INC PORCHESTER SQUARE: Nails Inc isn't my favourite brand to shop from as I find their polishes super expensive and aren't the best quality for the high price tag. I found this popular polish in my local TK Maxx for a mere £5 so I thought I'd give this famous shade a try. It's a lovely greige shade, however, it is on the border for being a little too pale on my skin tone and making my hands look a little too mannequin-like. As this is a gel polish I expected it to last a little longer but sadly it still doesn't work well my nails. It might be a case of experimenting with different top coats and seeing if that makes a difference.
INIKA ORGANIC PURE PRIMER WITH HYRALURONIC ACID*: I've been trialing a few items from the Inika makeup line and by far my favourite is the primer*. It contains hyaluronic acid which is one my favourite ingredients to have in my skincare routine but not something I'd ever thought about being in my makeup. This plumps up my skin so much that even when I've not had the best nights sleep it totally looks like I have. I've not found it to make a huge difference in the longevity of my base, but it does make a large difference in the way that my makeup applies and just generally looks. It also happens to smell like refreshers which is pretty dreamy in any makeup item.
MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA: Typically I'm very picky with my mascaras and it takes a lot for me to be really impressed by one. Maybelline isn't a brand that I'm overly familiar with, I never find myself drawn to their products, but I'd always heard great things about their mascaras. This is their latest release and it's a brilliant mascara for such a budget option. It gives length, volume, separation and keeps a curl all day despite not being a waterproof formula, but it's still a breeze to remove.
AUSSIE 3 MINUTE WINTER RECOVERY: When I was younger I used to only use Aussie shampoo and conditioners, I thought they were the bees knees. It's been years since I've used any of their hair care, but I saw they'd released a new winter miracle line which is apparently the same formula as the 'Miracle Shine' range which is available all year round. I'll be honest I purchased this based on it's incredible smell alone, it makes your hair smell like a complete dream. My hair tends to get quite static in the winter and this deep conditioner has completely sorted that out. My tresses feel nourished and smooth and of course incredibly shiny and smell amazing. When you don't wash your hair very often this is the perfect conditioner because it doubles up as a deep treatment.
