Beauty Repurchase List #1
Finding out what beauty products people buy repeatedly is something I love to know. We can all talk about our favourites till we're blue in the face but when you repurchase something it's obviously because you really love it. I've rounded up 6 of the beauty products I always repurchase to share with you today.
BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO: For years, I stayed as far away as I could from dry shampoo, I couldn't stand the way it made my hair feel. At that time, I was washing my hair on a daily basis which wasn't a healthy habit to keep up and my hair was paying the consequences of it. Now I've retrained my hair to go 4/5 days without washing but once I get to day 3 I need to reach for a dry shampoo. Batiste is my favourite by far, if you spray it around 30cm away from your head you don't get that strong white or grey cast on brunette tresses and even though your hair doesn't feel freshly washed it does feel cleaner which is all I want. There are probably better products on the market but in the lower end price bracket this is the best I've found by far.
LIZ EARLE CLEANSE & POLISH: This was the first 'real' cleanser I ever bought and truly loved. Sentimental value aside it's a great product, it's a classic cream cleanser that is kind to the skin but still does an incredible job at removing all remaining traces of makeup and then getting rid of all the dirt and grime that has accumulated over the day. No matter what condition my skin has been in this has still worked, it's kind to dry and dehydrated complexions but it doesn't make oily skin freak out and produce even more oil. It's become a safe bet in my skincare routine and I can't see it leaving anytime soon.
NIVEA MICELLAR WATER: I think I can speak for most people when I say that when the beauty world bought the wonder product that is micellar water to light it completely changed our routines. They've become an incredibly popular item and even though they are often marketed as a cleanser I don't believe they are good enough to be used as your only cleans and it's always advisable to follow up with something that requires washing your face. As a makeup remover, however, they are without a doubt incredible. The Nivea one, in particular, is super kind to the skin whilst removing 90% of a full face of makeup without leaving the complexion red and sore. They are the perfect gym essential to just give your skin a quick refresh too.
17 STAY TIME CONCEALER: Personally I find concealer a dull beauty product to buy. Finding something to cover up spots is hardly something that fills me excitement so it's never an area that I've wanted to explore more. For a long time, the Collection concealer reigned supreme in my routine but after a while it was clear that it was just gathering and not making my complexion look all that wonderful. Then I discovered the 17 Stay Time Concealer, it was the colour selection that drew me in as they offer up some extremely fair shades which can be hard to find on the high street. Colour choice aside the formulation is beautiful, it's a full coverage concealer that doesn't cake up on the skin but still covers bright beaming blemishes with ease.
NUXE REVE DE MIEL: My name's Rebecca and I'm addicted to lip balm. Ok, I admit it. For a long time, the Dior Creme de Rose ruled supreme in my beauty stash and it was something that I went and repurchased without a second thought when I got to the end of my first tub. As that appears to no longer be available in the UK I've had to move onto other things and the Nuxe Reve De Miel is dare I say it even better? Dry, chapped and sore lips are horrid to deal with but this banishes that awful feeling within seconds of application. It's a thick buttery balm that has the same scent as a Terry's Chocolate Orange so it's hard to resist licking it off. It works perfectly under a matte lipstick or overnight as an intense balm.
LA ROCHE POSAY EFFACLAR DUO [+]: I'm into the double of figures of how many times I've purchased this skincare staple. Effaclar Duo is either a product that works complete wonders on your skin or it does the complete opposite. I was so happy when I first started using this and within a few weeks I saw results. In the UK, this product is marketed to unclog pores, help with scars and correct the appearance of blemishes, not a direct spot fighting item which it's often confused for. I've been using this AM & PM for around three and half years now and it's dramatically improved the condition and texture of my skin. My complexion looks so much clearer and less congested and dull. Personally, I don't find it to be at all drying but I do always make sure to follow with a proper moisturiser afterwards.
