6 Bloggers Who Made Me Into The Blogger I Am Today

Six years ago From Roses was just an idea after admiring the community from afar and always enjoying curating a blog on Tumblr I decided to give it a go myself. And over the years I've lost count of how many incredible women I've had the pleasure of meeting through this community so I thought I would share the ladies who unknowingly helped me evolve into the blogger I am today.

THE ANNA EDIT

The first beauty blogger that I ever really fell for was Anna, who back then was ViviannaDoesMakeup. I loved the way that she wrote about beauty because it made the whole world seem so easy to understand when it was something that confused me so much even though I felt so passionate about it. Anna has evolved into more than just a beauty blogger now and I always look forward to reading or viewing her content. She's remained so true to who she is which has been such a pleasure to see over the years.

Carrie is the blogger who has always had a photography style that I've adored. Every single post she puts up is absolutely incredible and whatever she does she does beautifully. In a world where blogs have turned into glossy magazines, Carrie still has that element of professionalism whilst keeping things warm and inviting. Not only is she an incredible blogger but she's also just an awesome lady and one I'm so glad I've had the chance to interact with over the years.

There is no way I could write this post without mentioning Tenniel. My first ever friend in the blogging world and still somebody I call a friend to this very day. Being able to see each flourish and grow in this somewhat daunting blogging world has been so incredible and Tenniel has never wavered from her beliefs or given into pressure to blog a certain way which I admire so much. And whilst I always love the magical way she talks about beauty it's her personal posts that I always love to read the most. Here's to many more years of friendship, one day we will meet in London girl!

Carrie has had a rebrand over the years and I have to say One Pleasant Day is by far the best thing that she has ever created. When I read Carrie's blog it's like catching up with a friend which is what a good lifestyle blog is to me. She's currently on a journey to simpler living which is something that I'm also trying to incorporate into my life so it's always interesting to see a more relaxed view on it as so often it can be so structured and terrifying. Oh, and she also creates the most delicious recipes too and has the sweetest family pups ever.

Whenever I'm stuck in a style rut I've always loved visiting Olivia's blog. From the days where she wore nothing but pretty A-line skirts and her hair coiffured into a beehive to present day where her content is so varied and of course always beautiful. One of the biggest things that I admire about Olivia is the way that she works with huge brands and does it in such an incredible way. She always stays true to herself no matter what and is incredibly kind and gracious in every situation.

Emma definitely doesn't know this but she is the person who introduced me to the blogging world. I followed her on Tumblr for years and saw her start Milkteef right from day one. If it wasn't for her I'm not sure I would have ever started this blog which is quite a big deal. I still remember her style content when she photographed against a bright pink wall and adored every post. There is something so special about following for a blogger for so long and seeing how they've grown. Even if they're not someone you talk to a lot there is still an emotional connection to them and how they've enriched your life in some way is so special.

And of course, every single person who reads this blog and has shown me support over the years. This isn't an exclusive list by any means but just a select few awesome ladies and there are so many more I could talk about. Despite all the drama and all the negativity, there are truly some incredible people in the blogging world, you just have to find them.

Who are the bloggers that made you into the blogger you are today?
