5 New In Beauty Products & 4 Rediscoveries

When it comes to the cooler seasons and trialling beauty products everything feels so much more difficult. There are so many more hurdles for them to jump over so when I discover and adore a product in winter I know it's truly awesome. I've discovered 5 new awesome products lately and then rediscovered 4 that I'd already got in my collection and not used in a little while.

THE NEW

ESSIE IN STITCHES*

Essie is a brand that I've adored for so many years when it comes nail polish. The thick wide brush and dreamy opaque formulation makes giving yourself a perfect manicure a breeze. I've had a lot of shades the same as In Stitches from other brands but never with that dreamy Essie formula. In Stitches is an almost dirty raspberry shade which is oh so flattering on the skin and works for any season or occasion.

IT'S SKIN MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE & HAND CREAM*

Mint is one of my all-time favourite scents but it's not typically something you find all that much in beauty products. And we're in prime hand cream season and my hands and cuticles are so painfully dry that I need all the help I can get. This little pot of joy has been living on my desk and it's what I've been reaching for anytime my hands are in need of moisture. Which is quite often right now and it injects so much moisture to the skin but it doesn't leave me feeling greasy or sticky. Which is a big no-no when it's a product that sits on my desk as I need to be able to use my hands straight after use. And the mint scent lingers around which is absolutely delicious.

NARS VELVET SHADOW STICK IN HOLLYWOOD LAND*

I mentioned this dreamy shadow stick in a recent post but I just had to mention it again. It's all that I've been reaching for when it comes to my eye makeup and it's even been replacing the Too Faced Shadow Insurance as it not only acts as a shadow but it also acts as a great primer too. It can either be worn alone for a simple shimmery eye or you can apply a shadow on top to really amp up the intensity of the shimmer. Shadow sticks are one of my favourite beauty products because they're so simple to use but they stay all day with minimal effort.

THIERRY MUGLER ANGEL*

This is such a cult perfume and one that I've never tried until now. I'd always heard that it was something that you either loved or hated and it's safe to say that I really love it but it is strong, perfect for this season but I'm not entirely sure how well it would work in summer. The scent notes include: bergamot, sweet red fruits, vanilla, caramel and patchouli. You can really smell the caramel in it which I love as smelling like a baked good is my jam. It's one of those scents that you can smell all day and it lingers on your clothes until you wash them which I find so comforting.

THIERRY MUGLER ALIEN*

Another TM scent that I've been absolutely obsessed with is the Alien scent. It's not all that different from Angel apart from a little sweeter I find and again, I think it's either a scent that you absolutely adore or one you're not really all that fussed about. The notes for this scent are Sambac jasmine, Cashmeran wood and white amber. Amber is one of my all-time favourite scents and whenever it's included in a perfume I immediately find myself gravitating towards it. Between Alien and Angel, I'm all set for scents this season. son.

THE REDISCOVERIES

STILA CONVERTIBLE COLOUR IN PEONY*

The convertible colours from Stila are long-term favourites of mine. The formula is absolutely beautiful, it's a cream blush that is an absolute dream to apply. It's so soft but it's not greasy or sticky on the complexion which I think is what many people fear when it comes to cream products. I always favour a cream blush in the cooler months as it's much flattering on the cheek. The shade peony is absolutely beautiful, a perfect dusky rose that sculpts the skin slightly as well as adding that healthy flush of colour.

LAURA GELLAR SPACKLE HYDRATING PRIMER*

The original spackle primer is a very cult product in the beauty world. One I've never tried before but if it's anything like this then I can see why it's such a cult item. This reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Hangover Primer with how plump and fresh it leaves the skin looking. And even though it is so hydrating it never leaves you feeling sticky or greasy and the product doesn't make your skin eat up other products that you're applying over the top of it either. Having that extra layer of hydration sandwiched between my products has been a game changer for my skin lately and even in snowy conditions my full coverage foundation never felt it was becoming glued to my skin.

MANDARA SPA EXOTIC ESCAPE BODY OIL*

As usual, when we approach the colder months I tend to favour oils over anything else when it comes to moisturising my body. I used a body oil from this brand earlier in the year and absolutely loved it. And the coconut and almond scent is just divine. It's on the more budget side of the spectrum but it's just as good if not better than any high-end oil I've ever used on my body. It makes my skin so soft and supple without leaving me a greasy slippery mess afterwards. And this is an oil that you can use anywhere you please, body, hair, nails or you could add a few drops to your bath.

BAREMINERALS SKINLONGEVITY EYE CREAM*

It's official, at the grand old age of 27 I've got my first wrinkles and they happen to be under my eyes. And I've been dabbling in the world of eye cream for a while just to keep the area nourished and feeling supple. But now I'm even more militant with it now I've noticed those wrinkles appear. Of course, no cream in the world is going to get rid of lines completely but this definitely helps with the appearance of them and with a good concealer they're not all that noticeable. As well as helping with the appearance of the lines it's also helped the area generally look a lot more radiant too.
