6 Podcasts To Listen To
Ok, so I know I'm late to the podcast party but how damn great are they? I'm a super visual person so whenever I tried to listen to them in the past I always felt like I struggled because there isn't a visual to go alongside them but that's actually become the selling point for me. I've not been able to stop listening to them in the past couple of weeks and here are my 6 of my favourites.
#GIRLBOSS RADIO
This was the one that kicked off the entire obsession and it's a great one to ease yourself in with. You can listen along to Sophia Amuruso, the founder of the brand Nasty Gal interview inspiring woman who are their own #girlbosses. I think if you weren't a huge fan of Sophia's tone in the book #girlboss than it's a great listen as you get to understand her as a person a little more. The episodes are only 20 minutes long but still provide great snippets of information. There are only two so far, but they've been awesome and incredibly inspirational and I can't wait to find out who else she is going to have on the show.
NOT TOO DEEP
I used to be a big Grace fan a couple of years ago but just lost track of her on YouTube. I've been aware of her podcast for a while but not given it a listen, but I'm glad I did. You might have guessed by the title of this podcast that it isn't a super intense and inspiring listen, it's just a lot of fun. She mostly interviews other YouTube stars and even though it's not a podcast to pick their brain it's super interesting to get to know more about them. Even when you watch someone's videos for years you can only gain so much but listening to a conversation with them is a great way to get to know them a little more.
SHONDALAND REVEALED
I'm a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy so when I heard about the podcast I was super excited to give it a listen. Not only does it cover Grey's it also covers the other Shondaland shows like Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder. As I haven't seen those shows I just stick to the Grey's episodes and it's been awesome to get to know more about the characters and the actors who play them. I think my all time favourite has been Miranda Bailey, she is one of my most loved on the show and it was amazing to get to know more about her. I always admire actors who are able to star in a show as well as direct it as it must be so hard to differentiate between the two.
MAKE IT HAPPEN
Some of you might be familiar with podcast already, but I had to mention it. Jen is one of my closest friends, but I hadn't listened to her podcast yet. When you know someone in real life and know their mannerisms and the way that they talk it can be super strange to just listen to them without seeing them. That aside her podcast Make It Happen is awesome. Whether you're a blogger or creative you can take so much from the interviews and solo pieces that she's done. She's interviewed some really awesome ladies and you can just feel the energy and how passionate they are about their businesses which is always inspiring.
EAR BISCUITS
Another YouTuber podcast. Weirdly enough I've never watched Rhett and Link so I don't really know too much about them but I absolutely love Ear Biscuits. They have popular YouTubers on the show and the interviews are incredible. They dig into super deep topics and explore the guests past and what brought them to their current status. I've learnt so much about some people I've watched for years and it's made me gain even more respect for just how switched on some content creators are which might not always come across in their videos.
SERIAL
Every time a new episode of this podcast was released last year my Twitter feed would not shut up about it. So obviously that spiked my curiosity and when I caught the podcast listening bug I knew I had to give it a listen. It covers a real crime story and with each episode you learn more about the people involved and hear the tale unwind. It's easy to forget this is a real story involving real people. As I'm such a sucker for anything related to crime and murder I knew I would love this. It's so interesting to listen to and I've not even finished the first season yet, but I knew I had to include it in this post.
