6 Beauty Rediscoveries

Going through my beauty stash and rediscovering products that I used to love whilst wearing sweatpants is one of my favourite things to do. Who needs the hustle and bustle of busy town centres and beauty counters when you can do it from your own home? Whenever I have a big beauty clear out I always find a bunch of products that I used to adore and quickly add them back into my rotation so I can fall back in love with them again. During my latest cleanse I rediscovered 6 awesome beauty products so stayed tuned for the details.

JO MALONE WHITE JASMINE & MINT: This was the first JM scent that I ever owned. It was a gift from my older sister for graduating so will always hold a special place in my heart. Mint is one of my all time favourite scents, however it's not an ingredient that you often find in perfume. It's quite a sharp scent, incredibly fresh. I love wearing this in the evening as it just screams sophistication to me. Once I've used some more of my perfumes up I will definitely be repurchasing this.

CLARINS LIP BALM CRAYON*: The gold clad packaging of this product makes my heart flutter. I'm a sucker for lip crayons, they're so easy to take on the go and touch ups are a breeze. The shade Creamy Pink* is the perfect in-between for those of us who like wearing pink but aren't a fan of the barbie variety. Like you would expect it's nourishing to the lips and ideal for fuss-free days as it doesn't highlight any dry areas. Just simply smoothes over them to create a pretty & natural lip look.

DR JART BB CREAM: Every summer I return to this base without fail. As it's a one shade suits all type of affair it's a little too dark for me all year round. It's a hydrating base that somehow helps with oil so if you're someone who suffers from oily dehydrated skin then this is perfect. One of my favourite things about this base is how well it covers redness, if my skin is looking particularly rouge I will often use this as a base before foundation.

BENEFIT POWDA WOWZA PALETTE: Such a nostalgic item for me. When I first started getting into beauty I picked this up in the sale and thought it was the best thing that I'd ever bought. 3 years later it's still hanging around and yes it's out of date but I don't care. I'm never going to get much out of Hula but the shades Coralista and Bella Bamba are two of the prettiest blush shades against my skin tone when I'm looking a little more tanned. I wish Benefit made these palettes all year round as they're so handy to have multiple shades in one small palette.

THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE PRIMER: I've mentioned this a couple of times recently and I'd forgotten just how good it is in the warm weather. As my skin is typically dehydrated I worried that it might have been drying as I purchased it in my oily days. Luckily it's not, it doesn't dry the skin out at all, it just creates a super smooth base. It minimises pores and helps with active blemishes as it contains the wondrous ingredient that is tea tree. If you we're looking for a budget friendly primer then I would highly recommend this.

YVES ROCHER VOLUME VERTIGE MASCARA*: I'm not quite sure why this has been marketed as a volumising mascara as I find it to give a reasonably natural effect when worn alone. It's an awesome mascara for pairing though and I've been using it with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. The combination of the two provides me with my almost dream lash look. It's been great in the warm weather and it doesn't smudge or flake which is a pet hate of mine when it comes to mascara.
